About LeadShift’s Assessments 

LeadShift’s leadership assessments evaluate competencies and enhance abilities through practical insights. By creating self-awareness, they highlight individual strengths and opportunities for development. Certified Executive Coaches or LeadShift Consultants debrief these assessments, providing cohesive, actionable plans to build on strengths and address derailers. 

LeadShift offers multiple assessments, each of which provides a different lens into an individual. When considered in combination with one another, they can furnish a holistic view into a person’s behaviors and leadership style. Our assessment portfolio includes: 

  • Predictive Index (PI) Behavioral Assessment
  • Emotional Intelligence: EQ-i 2.0 Leadership
  • 360 Degree Feedback or EQ-i 360 

PI Behavioral Assessment 

The PI Behavioral Assessment measures an employee’s natural behavioral drives and needs, helping businesses understand workplace behavior. It focuses on four key behavioral drives: dominance, extraversion, patience, and formality, and is a reflection of the unique way an individual contributes to the workplace. 

Used globally for nearly 70 years, this assessment offers insights into personality traits without measuring intelligence, education, or experience. Each participant is assigned one of 17 Reference Profiles, which provides a quick understanding of their work style, including communication, decision-making, and risk-taking, enabling more effective collaboration. 

Emotional Intelligence 

Emotional Intelligence (EI) combines emotional and social skills that enhance our ability to handle work and life pressures. The EQ-i 2.0, backed by over 25 years of research, is a highly respected and validated assessment used at individual, team, and organizational levels. 

The EQ-i 2.0 provides a total EI score along with five composite scores: self-perception, self- expression, interpersonal skills, decision-making, and stress management. The results provide a deeper understanding of how an individual’s EI may affect their workplace performance, such as conflict resolution, change management, teamwork, decision making with customized development strategies based on the individual. Results are confidential to the individual although that person may choose to share with others. 

360-Degree Feedback

The 360 is a multi-rater assessment that collects confidential, anonymous feedback about an individual from people they work with on a regular basis. The process incorporates feedback from the individual’s supervisor, peers, direct reports, and sometimes external stakeholders such as partners or vendors. Individuals also rate themselves. 

The purpose is to uncover constructive insights to help understand strengths, blind spots and opportunities for growth from various sources. Through the LeadShift 360 process, leadership capabilities are measured in key areas such as: initiative, flexibility, integrity, team leadership, development of others, inspiration, influence, resilience, growth mindset, strategy and vision. 

In some cases, the 360 is complimented by interviews with a subset of raters who participated in the online rating process. Results are confidential to the participant although that person may choose to share with others. 

LeadShift also offers the EQ 360, an emotional intelligence assessment that gathers feedback from various stakeholders on an individual’s emotional intelligence and how it impacts their leadership capability. Aligned with the EQ-i 2.0, this assessment is particularly suited for individual contributors rather than team managers or senior leaders.
